One Board, One Former State
Bahawalpur Board is unusual among Punjab’s nine: its jurisdiction is not a piece of some larger division carved up for administrative convenience. The three districts it examines — Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan — are exactly the three districts of the former princely State of Bahawalpur, and the board took them over from Multan Board under the Punjab Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act, 1976.
That gives the board a long, narrow territory running along the left bank of the Sutlej and down to the Sindh boundary past Sadiqabad, with the Cholistan desert filling most of the space between. In practical terms it means a candidate in Rahim Yar Khan is several hours from the board office in Bahawalpur — worth knowing before you plan a trip over something an online form can settle.

What You Need to Clear
Bahawalpur Board scores 9th class out of 505 marks. From the 2026 examinations the minimum passing mark rose from 33% to 40%, which puts the aggregate line at 202.
