Nothing you check on result day is your final certificate. The portal, the SMS reply and the school statement are all provisional. Your official Detailed Marks Certificate is issued by the board separately, and that is the document colleges and employers will ask for.

Science subjects carry 60-mark theory papers rather than 75, because there is no practical examination in 9th class — a single 30-mark practical is held at the end of 10th class covering both years. Reading your grade
From the 2026 annual examinations, SSC Part-I results are reported on a ten-point letter scale, and the minimum passing mark rose from 33% to 40% in every individual subject. A strong overall total does not rescue one paper below the threshold.

Districts and Tehsils Under BISE Lahore
Your board is fixed by the district where your school is registered, not by where you live. These four districts fall under Lahore Board.

Lahore City, Lahore Cantt, Model Town, Shalimar and Raiwind tehsils — the largest single concentration of candidates in the province.

Kasur, Chunian, Pattoki and Kot Radha Kishan tehsils, along the province’s south-eastern border belt.

Sheikhupura, Ferozewala, Muridke, Safdarabad and Sharaqpur tehsils, covering the industrial corridor north of Lahore.

Applying for rechecking at Lahore Board
Rechecking is a verification of arithmetic and custody, not a fresh assessment of your answers. The officer confirms that totals were carried forward correctly, that no portion of any answer was left unmarked, and that the figure on your script matches the figure in the record. No one re-marks your work — boards cite a Supreme Court decision on the form itself.
- Apply within 15 days of the result announcement, per paper rather than per result.
- Generate the challan from the board portal and deposit it at a designated bank branch.
- If an error is found, a revised result card is issued and the fee is refunded.
- You must attend in person — nobody may view your answer book on your behalf.

When exactly does BISE Lahore announce the 9th class result 2026?
Wednesday, 2 September 2026 at 10:00 AM Pakistan time. The Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen sets one schedule for the province, so Lahore does not release earlier or later than the other eight boards.
The portal is not loading at 10:00 AM. Is something wrong with my result?
Almost certainly not. Lahore has the largest candidate base in Punjab and the site is handling peak load. Try the SMS shortcode instead — it runs on separate infrastructure — or wait for the gazette PDF, which usually appears within a couple of hours.
Why is my Physics paper out of 60 and not 75?
Because the practical is separated out. In 9th class you sit a 60-mark theory paper for each science subject, and the 30-mark practical covering both years is examined at the end of 10th class. Nothing is missing from your marksheet.
How much do I need to pass?
40% in every individual subject, which replaced the older 33% rule from the 2026 annual examinations. On a 75-mark paper that is 30 marks; on a 60-mark science paper it is 24; on a 50-mark paper it is 20.
Can I check my result by name instead of roll number?
Yes, through the gazette PDF once it is uploaded. The portal itself works on roll number, so if you have lost your slip the gazette is the route. Search your full registered name and add your father’s name if you get multiple matches.
I failed one subject. Do I have to repeat 9th class?
No. Failing one or two subjects sends you to the second annual examination for those papers only, and you continue into 10th class in the meantime. You re-sit only the subjects you did not clear.
